Why is it important to be physically fit and how can we stay fit?
Second Grade Week 6 |
April 27-May 1
Lesson 1
Read the directions below. This week we begin jumping rope.
1. Exercise along with the Jumping Jack Song. 2. Watch the video made by Mrs. Gonzalez. Practice these skills. If you can complete 10 or more jumps of a skill without error considered it mastered and move on to the next skill. Safety
Wear sneakers and comfortable clothing. Make sure that you exercise in a safe space with plenty of room to move. Follow your family home rules.
Tips to Modify the Exercises Turn the rope slower. Try jumping in a rocking pattern instead of two feet. Step over the rope instead of jumping. Use a heavier jump rope. Jump without a rope. By the end of these lessons students should be able to: Jump a self-turned rope consecutively forward and backward with a mature pattern. (S1.E27.2a) Participate actively in moderate aerobic activity. S3.E2 |
Lesson 2
Read the directions below. Practice your skills.
1. Review skills from last lesson. Practice skills you have not mastered. 2. Watch the video below and try new skills. If you are still working on skills from the previous lesson and are not ready for new skills, that is OK. Keep practicing. Try the new ones when you are ready! Safety
