1. Warm up. You can use your jump rope or an activity at home you enjoy. 2. Watch the Overhand Throw video below and the video with directions by Mrs. G. 3. Practice. Cues:
Turn sideways Make an "L" Aim Step and Throw Follow Through "Buckle your seatbelt" Overhand Throw 5 Critical Elements of a Mature Pattern
Safety Wear sneakers and comfortable clothing. Make sure that you exercise in a safe space with plenty of room to move. Follow your family home rules.
Tips to Modify the Exercises Use a lighter or smaller ball. Stand closer to the target. By the end of these lessons students should be able to: Throws overhand using a mature pattern in non-dynamic environments (closed skills). (S1.E14.4a) Throws overhand to a partner or at a target with accuracy at a reasonable distance. (S1.E14.4b) |

Read the directions below. Underhand throw. Practice and play.
1. Let's warm up before we practice our throw with the video below. 2. Try the Overhand Throw Ladder Challenge. You can play it outside too. Make sure you have permission from your family BEFORE you play. 3. Practice your Overhand Throw with a football. If you do not have a football, that is OK. Just use what you have. Cues:
